Book Description:

Over my dead body.

That’s what I told Gracie when she informed me of her plan to pick some random guy she met online to get rid of her pesky virginity.

If anyone is touching her, it’s going to be me.

I shouldn’t even be considering it, but I can’t get it out of my head: her, under me, begging me.

Arrogant. Cocky. Prick.

Those are the words I’d use to describe my older brother’s dangerously handsome best friend.

When he learned of my plan to kick off my white cotton briefs, ditching my good girl persona once and for all by losing my virginity to the first eligible bachelor I could find, he flipped out. Said over his dead body.

He says if anyone’s going to do it, it’s going to be him.

I hate that I’m even considering his offer.

But I am … I sooo am.

Ever since he suggested it, all I can think about is his cocky smile on those full lips as he’s driving in to me.

But if we cross that line … will I ever be able to go back?

MONSTER PRICK, a sexy romantic comedy, is a spin off novella from SCREWED, but can be read as a standalone, as it features a new couple.

We read Kendall Ryan’s last release Screwed, which introduced the main characters in Monster Prick, Grace and Hudson.  And there was no way I wasn’t reading a book entitled Monster Prick, well played Ms. Ryan, well played. This is a novella length story, which can easily be read in one sitting. It’s a fluffy palate cleanser with some good sex scenes sprinkled throughout.

Grace has known, and crushed on, her older brother’s best friend her whole life. For his part, Hudson has had a hard on for Gracie since she developed what sound like a great pair of tits, like the description kind of made me want to see them, too. Hudson has vowed to never actually do anything about his attraction to Grace, because he thinks Hayden would murder him and it would damage their friendship forever.

When Hudson finds out that 22-year-old virgin Grace is planning to start online dating and basically offer herself up like a sacrifice to the least creepy guy, he decides to offer to dispatch of her hymen on his own. All selfless like. Gracie gives the very barest of protests, but really its kind of been her dream that Hudson would be the one to make her a woman. Once Hudson runs into Grace at a club and whispers some sweet dirty nothings in her ear a sex date is made.

This is a pretty stereotypical book-first-time, where in there is no awkwardness and multiple orgasms are achieved with ease. The awkwardness comes after, when they realize that they’re keeping a pretty huge secret from Hayden- her brother and his best friend. What’s a girl and guy to do?

Monster Prick was a pretty sweet and non-shocking romance for having such a dirty title, if you’re looking for something short and fluffy with a non-complicated HEA you should definitely pick this on up.

  1. Ohmygod, I’m at the part where they meet at the nightclub and he talks dirty to her (my thoughts: Grace, stop thinking now and go to this sex date!!). I just finished Reapers Fall, which gave all the feels, and really needed a palate cleanser like this: sweet, fluffy, no drama.
By the way, great review. Thanks Cleone!

  2. Yes! Kendall Ryan is really a master at the dirty talk, I think it might be her writing super power 🙂

Reapers gave us a book hangover too, we are planning a joint read of Chloe Comes for Christmas for our next palate cleanser!!!
